Isle of Raasay Distillery's Na Sia Single Cask bottlings demonstrate the unique character of each of their recipe casks.
The Bordeaux red wine barriques used are made from two oak species, Quercus patrea & Quercus robur, adding savoury spice, whilst the red wine imparts tannins into the new make spirit.
The casks were previously used to age three vintages of Bordeaux red wine, resulting in sumptuous, fruity top notes in the spirit, like blackberries, plums, and cherries.
