From the Thompson Bros of Dornoch Distillery comes a remarkable single grain Scotch whisky, distilled at Edinburgh’s North British Distillery, and matured for over three decades.
This parcel delivers everything you’d hope from well-aged grain: soft vanilla cream, gentle oak, and a sweetness that only emerges after 30 years in cask. On the nose lots of sticky toffee pudding with whipped cream, lemon zest and white chocolate. The palate opens up to custard tarts, jelly fruits, demerara sugar with a little banana on toast with honey.
Our exclusive edition is limited to just 115 bottles, each bearing a label cut from a 1949 Edinburgh Civic Survey map. For this release, the Thompson Bros selected the section showing Leith, pinpointing the very spot where our Port of Leith Distillery now stands.
A rare and quite extraordinary dram, tied to the history of Edinburgh and Leith.
